Overview of Use of Funds: Good Works Grant Writing is excited to congratulate our client, Ballet Arizona, on being selected to receive a $14,000 Community Grant from the Parkinson’s Foundation! This generous foundation grant will directly support Ballet Arizona’s 2026-27 (FY27) Dance for PD Program, a free, year-round, professionally designed exercise program serving approximately 85 adults living with PD annually across the Phoenix metro area. Designed and led by a professional trained in Parkinson’s-specific movement pedagogy, Dance for PD delivers structured, accessible exercise that supports mobility, balance, cognitive engagement, and emotional well-being. During FY27, Ballet Arizona will deliver 160 in-person classes and 40 virtual classes through a hybrid model that ensures continuity of access regardless of health status, mobility, or transportation barriers.

Overview of Grant Objective/Impact: Ballet Arizona’s FY27 Dance for PD Program will pursue the following measurable goals for 85 participants across 200 classes, with progress assessed through participant surveys administered annually.

  1. Promote physical and mental well-being through adaptive dance movement.
  2. Build supportive communities that reduce isolation and foster belonging among adults living with Parkinson’s.
  3. Restore confidence and self-expression for adults navigating chronic illness.
