Grantor Name: Ross Regional Giving

Program Name: Discover Your Future

Grant Amount: $20,000

Recipient Name: Future for KIDS

Overview of Use of Funds: Good Works Grant Writing is excited to congratulate our client, Future for KIDS, on being selected to receive a $20,000 grant from Ross Regional Giving! This generous corporate grant will directly support Discover Your Future delivery at Future for KIDS’ four West Phoenix school sites (Sun Canyon Elementary, Sunridge Elementary, Western Valley Elementary, and CASA Academy), bringing free, structured mentoring to elementary-age youth in some of the region’s most underserved communities. Ross’s funding will help cover direct program costs across these Title I schools, including site coordination staff, literary resources, STEAM kits, and healthy snacks. These materials bring Future for KIDS three program pillars to life each week: Academic Enrichment, Athletics and Wellness, and Ethics and Life Skills Development.

Overview of Grant Objective/Impact: This investment is especially critical for Future for KIDS’ West Phoenix partner schools, where limited district funding restricts access to enrichment programming. During our 2026-27 program year, Discover Your Future will serve more than 630 elementary-age youth (ages 8-12) across 17 school sites, with this grant specifically supporting 140 participants at Future for KIDS’ four West Phoenix sites. By sponsoring these sites, Ross Regional Giving will help connect West Phoenix children impacted by poverty and adversity to caring adult mentors and hands-on learning experiences that build the confidence and character they need to succeed in school and in life.

Through Discover Your Future, Future for KIDS improves academic success by strengthening the learning behaviors that precede achievement through mentor‑driven programming. At least 80% of participating youth will demonstrate increased academic engagement, including:

  • Greater interest in learning and trying new academic activities
  • Increased confidence in applying academic and problem‑solving skills
  • Stronger persistence when faced with challenging academic tasks
