Grantor Name: ON Semiconductor

Program Name: Girl Scouting: Unlocking the Potential of Girls in STEM

Grant Amount: $20,000

Recipient Name: Girl Scouts—Arizona Cactus-Pine Council (GSACPC)

Overview of Use of Funds: Good Works Grant Writing is excited to congratulate our client, Girl Scouts—Arizona Cactus-Pine Council (GSACPC), on being selected to receive a $20,000 grant from ON Semiconductor! This generous corporate grant will provide support for GSACPC’s 2025-26 Girl Scout STEM Programming. Girls can earn STEM badges, worn on their Girl Scout uniforms, by completing STEM activities and demonstrating their STEM skills through year-round immersive learning experiences with science-based solutions. Activities are girl-led; they direct the activity planning, are interactive, and then reflect on how their knowledge and skills can change their community and the world.

Overview of Grant Objective/Impact: Onsemi will support GSACPC’s goal to inspire interest, engagement, and persistence in STEM among K-12 girls in Central and Northern Arizona. Funding will be used to provide an anticipated 7,000 Girl Scouts with research-informed STEM badge activities in FY25 (October 1, 2025 – September 30, 2026) to ensure girls of every age, economic background, and race/ethnicity have opportunities to participate in progressive, multi-year STEM experiences. GSACPC partners with local educational organizations to provide unique and engaging STEM activities, including badge workshops in Engineering, Astronomy, Biology, and Chemistry hosted by the Arizona Science Center, ICode for robotics, and the i.d.e.a. Museum in Mesa. By earning badges in environmental advocacy, robotics, space exploration, and more, girls will develop the competencies and resilience that are critical for the next generation of STEM leaders.
